This is a security measure to ensure that Personal Information is not disclosed to any unauthorized person who is not the rightful account owner. FinOctopus may also contact the User to ask the User for further information in relation to the User’s request to speed up the response.
FinOctopus will try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take longer than a month if the User’s request is particularly complex or the User has made a number of requests. In this case, FinOctopus will notify the User and keep the User updated.
If the User wishes to exercise any of the rights set out above, please email at factoring@finoctopus.com
Data retention. FinOctopus will only retain the User’s Personal Information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes FinOctopus collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
To determine the appropriate Personal Information retention period, FinOctopus considers the volume, nature, and sensitivity of the Personal Information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of the User’s Personal Information, the purposes for which FinOctopus processes the User’s Personal Information, whether these purposes could be achieved through any other means, and the applicable legal requirements.
By law, for accounting and tax purposes FinOctopus has to keep basic information about our Users (including Contact, Identity, Services, Financial and Transaction Data) for seven (7) years after they cease being Users.
